West Zone Water Supply Situation Update

Due to an increase in its raw water supply, West Zone concessionaire Maynilad was able to significantly improve the water supply situation in its service area over the weekend.

Since Saturday, Maynilad has been producing over 2 billion liters of potable water for its customers. As a result, all 117 severely affected barangays (those with 6 hours or less of water supply) now have at least 13 hours of water supply.

While Maynilad has suspended its water tankering operations, its fleet of 16 water tankers remain on standby in case of any fluctuations in its water supply and production. The company is also closely monitoring the water supply and pressure in highly elevated barangays in its concession area should there be a need to implement any system adjustments.

Maynilad serves the cities of Manila (all but portions of San Andres & Sta Ana), Quezon City (west of San Juan River, West Avenue, EDSA, Congressional, Mindanao Avenue, the northern part starting from the Districts of the Holy Spirit & Batasan Hills), Makati (west of South Super Hi-way), Caloocan, Pasay, Paranaque, Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila; Cavite City, and the towns of Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
