Muntinlupa Mayor Aldrin San Pedro and Maynilad officials led by President Rogelio L. Singson recently visited Brgy. Putatan, Muntinlupa City as part of a joint inspection of the nearly-completed Maynilad Putatan Water Treatment Plant and the ongoing pipelaying activities that will complement the modern treatment facility.
The Putatan Plant will start treating raw water sourced from Laguna de Bay this May to produce an initial 50 MLD (million liters per day) of potable water that will benefit over 22,760 households in Barangays Putatan, Bayanan, Ayala Alabang, and portions of Alabang, Poblacion and Tunasan. By the end of the year, the plant is scheduled to increase its treatment capacity to 100 MLD to serve other areas such as Sucat, Buli, Cupang and remaining areas in Alabang, Poblacion and Tunasan.
