MAYNILAD WATER SERVICE ADVISORY (April 12, 2018, Thursday)

Starting 3 p.m. today, April 12, 2018 (Thursday), our customers in some areas of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Manila, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon City, Valenzuela, and in some parts of Bacoor, Cavite City, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario in Cavite province will have low water pressure to no water supply due to the limited raw water allocation entering our La Mesa Treatment Plants in Quezon City.

Maynilad’s treatment facilities need to get a minimum of 2,360 million liters per day (MLD) of raw water so it can maintain normal service levels for its customers. However, from April 1 to 11, it has only been getting an average of 2,310 MLD, which is less than the 60% raw water allocation that Maynilad is entitled to receive. This caused a significant drop in the level of Maynilad’s stored water supply.

Affected customers are advised to immediately store water before this emergency service interruption takes effect. We apologize for the short notice. The immediacy of the situation precludes us from giving earlier advice about the interruption.

We are currently aligning with Manila Water to discuss the appropriate allocations of raw water supply. For the meantime, Maynilad will deploy water tankers to affected areas to mitigate the impact of this unscheduled service interruption.

Water supply to affected customers will resume by 4 a.m. tomorrow, April 13 (Friday). But until this issue with Manila Water is settled, Maynilad will be constrained to implement daily service interruptions in some areas starting tomorrow. We shall provide prior information on the schedule. Please stand by for updates.
