Maynilad trains Nepal Water District

West Zone Concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad), through its Maynilad Water Academy, ventured in a Twinning partnership to mentor the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage (DWSS) and Lekhnath Small Town Water Supply and Sanitation User Committee (LSTWSSUC) of the Government of Nepal.
 
Through Nepal’s Central Human Resource Development Unit (CHRDU), Maynilad’s officials flew to Nepal to conduct trainings on water supply operations, water quality testing, non-revenue water and water system improvement
 
“We are glad to be able to share with our Asian neighbors what we have learned in improving our operations and services in the West Zone. We hope that in this way, they can bring sustainable water solutions to their respective areas,” said Maynilad President and CEO Ricky P. Vargas.
 
Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base.  It is the concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (all but portions of San Andres & Sta. Ana), Quezon City (west of San Juan River, West Avenue, EDSA, Congressional, Mindanao Avenue, the northern part starting from the Districts of the Holy Spirit & Batasan Hills), Makati (west of South Super Highway), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon, all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor, and Imus, the towns of Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
