Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad), in partnership with the City Government of Imus, held the Water Summit 2013 in the Imus Sports Complex last December 13. Dr. Karen Ann Jagoon of the University of the Philippines School of Urban and Regional Planning (UP-SURP) and Engr. Ferdie Billones of the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) lectured about the dangers of excessive ground water extraction. The summit, which was attended by almost 1,000 people, including subdivision developers, home owners associations and its members and water refilling stations owners, aimed to inform the various stakeholders about the dangers of excessive ground water extraction.
