Maynilad receives LLDA Blue Award

The Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) recently conferred Maynilad Water Services Inc. (Maynilad) a Blue Award for its Putatan Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The award was in recognition of the facility’s environmental performance and compliance with LLDA standards and regulatory requirements.

Meanwhile, Maynilad Engr. Romer Jumawan was also given the Blue Award for Outstanding Pollution Control Officer (PCO) for his exemplary performance with his duties as the Putatan WTP PCO, including ensuring that the facility adheres to strict environmental standards.

These awards are granted yearly to encourage companies to reduce pollution beyond compliance through public recognition.

“We take our environmental responsibilities and commitments to the government very seriously because we know that these are what will make our services sustainable and responsive to our customers\’ needs,” said Maynilad President and CEO Ricky P. Vargas.

Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base.
