MAYNILAD PROVIDES WATER FOR DPWH DISINFECTING STATIONS

In line with government efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, Maynilad is providing free water to the 16 disinfecting stations set up by the Department of Public Works and Highways to sanitize vehicles traversing several national roads and highways. The photo shows a Maynilad water tanker refilling a facility used for storing the disinfection solution that will be sprayed on vehicles plying Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City. Maynilad is also providing water to some disinfecting stations in Cavite, Muntinlupa, Manila, Quezon City, and in some exits/entrances along the North Luzon Expressway, in support of the “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act” (Republic Act 11469).
Maynilad is implementing other relief activities, including the provision of free water supply for the quarantine facilities set up by government for COVID-19 patients at the World Trade Center (WTC), Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), and Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
Maynilad is also continuing to distribute drinking water for the consumption of frontliners—i.e., health workers and on-ground checkpoint personnel—who remain on duty to provide vital services during the Enhanced Community Quarantine. The water company is also assisting its own frontline personnel, who continue to operate all water and wastewater facilities to ensure sustained service for its 9.7 million customers.
