Maynilad is the 2015 KAPATID Awards Grand Winner

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) was declared the grand winner of the 2015 Kapatiran sa Industriya (KAPATID) Awards of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECoP).

The award was presented by Vice President Jejomar C. Binay (2nd row, 4th from right) to the Maynilad delegation led by Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan (3rd from right) and President and CEO Ricky P. Vargas (2nd from right) during the ceremony held at the conclusion of the 36th National Conference of Employers last May 15 in Marriott Hotel, Pasay City.

“Team Maynilad accepts this recognition with pride on behalf of our stakeholders, especially our customers for whom we exist and get our motivation to succeed. This is indeed proof positive that higit sa tubig ang aming serbisyo,” said Vargas.

Maynilad was recognized for having excelled in the four main criteria of the awards, namely: Industrial Peace and Harmony, Quality and Productivity, Social Accountability and Strategic Visioning and Partnering for Business and Job Survival.

ECoP’s biennial KAPATID Awards recognizes policies and practices that are characterized by sound and harmonious partnerships between management and employees resulting in labor and enterprise productivity, service quality, improved workplace conditions and enhanced relationships with society.

Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base. It is an agent and contractor of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (certain portions), Quezon City (certain portions), Makati (west of South Super Highway), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Malabon and Navotas all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
