West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. is spending P52 million to lay 5.6 kilometers of secondary and tertiary pipelines along Aguinaldo Highway from St. Dominic College of Asia to Tia Maria Townhomes in Bacoor City, Cavite.
The investment will connect some 1,680 accounts to Maynilad’s network. Once completed, the project is expected to bring residents and establishments in the area 24-hour water supply at a pressure of about 16 pounds per square inch (psi).
For decades, residents in these areas relied only on shallow wells and tanker delivery services for their water supply needs.
“We are thankful for the continued partnership extended to us by the city government headed by Mayor Strike Revilla as we aim to provide the residents of Bacoor with sustainable water solutions,†said Maynilad President and CEO Ricky P. Vargas.
Maynilad is closely coordinating with the Bacoor Traffic Management Office and the local government officials to ease traffic flow along the project areas and lessen inconvenience to motorists. Worksites are also provided with the appropriate barricades, lighting and warning signs.
Maynilad’s West Zone covers most parts of Manila, Quezon City, and Makati; the whole of Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon; and the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
