West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad)—through its education arm, the Maynilad Water Academy—recently held its first-ever “Junior Water Camp”, a program highlighting the application of science and technology in the water industry. The photo shows junior high school students of the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) taking their practical exam on water treatment processes as part of their 10-day science immersion program.
“Through education programs such as this Junior Water Camp, we aim to encourage the youth to become the next generation of water professionals by pursuing a career in the water industry,” Maynilad Water Academy executive director Rodora Gamboa said.
The Junior Water Camp also assists PSHS educators in including water in their integrated science curriculum.
