Maynilad expands service to 49 Cavite villages

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) is now serving some 20,200 additional households in the province of Cavite after it formally took over the water systems of 49 subdivisions in Kawit, Bacoor and Imus.
As a result, about 84,800 people who used to rely on unsafe deep wells and expensive water deliveries now enjoy safe, reliable water 24 hours a day.
“Service expansion in the southern portion of Metro Manila remains to be one of our major objectives. For too long, residents in these areas have been dependent on deep well water, which studies have shown to be unsafe and can cause land subsidence,” said Maynilad President and CEO Ricky P. Vargas.

In Bacoor City, the subdivisions that have recently been connected to Maynilad’s distribution network are Estherville, Greenpoint Homes, Kalayaan Homes, Macaria Subdivision, New Better Landscape Subdivision, Villa Cristorey, Villa Maria, Vista Verde South Executive Village, Katherine, Krause Park, South Susana Homes, Aurora Homes and JS Ville.

Maynilad’s service expansion has also reached the following subdivisions in Imus City: Bayanihan Homes, Baylumville Subdivision, Berrita Subdivision, Celina Plains, Del Pillar Village, Dexterville Homes, Dreamville I, Gawad Kalinga Maryville, Hoteliers Village (Malagasang), Isla Verde, La Terraza Villas, Legian II, Manela, Pag-asa Subdivision (Bucandala), Pinagpala Subdivision, Sarah Subdivision, Sarreal Bankers Village, Sarreal Pulo, Sheltertown, Silvertown II, Silvertown III, Sunnydale Villas, The Istana Subdivision, The Village, Treelane II, Treelane III, Villa Celina, Villa Fatima, Villa Sisa, Villa Susana Subdivision, Vilma Subdivision, Viña Village, Woodlane Subdivision, Citilane Subdivision, Sunnydale Garden Villas, and Woodlane Townhomes.

Meanwhile, in Kawit, Garland Subdivision and Summerville Subdivision are also now enjoying surface water from Maynilad.
This year, Maynilad earmarked P1.9 billion to extend its network to Cavite, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa and Pasay.  These projects include the laying of primary, secondary and tertiary pipelines, as well as the takeover of subdivisions in Cavite.
Maynilad is an agent and contractor of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (certain areas), Quezon City (certain areas), Makati (certain areas), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon—all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario—all in Cavite Province.
