Maynilad expands coverage in Caloocan City

Metro Pacific and DMCI-led Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) recently energized segments of its newly laid pipes in Caloocan City, benefitting more than 9,600 residents in the area.

Maynilad spent almost P56 million to lay 8.9 kilometers of secondary and tertiary pipelines in various portions of Caloocan City. These newly connected areas previously depended on deep wells and expensive water deliveries from private vendors for their supply.

“We are committed not only to improving our services for present customers but also to bringing the benefits of safe and reliable surface water to more people. This way, they no longer have to rely on dubious and expensive sources of water supply for their daily needs,” said Maynilad President and CEO Ricky P. Vargas.

Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base.  It is a concessionaire of the MWSS for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (all but portions of San Andres & Sta. Ana), Quezon City (west of San Juan River, West Avenue, EDSA, Congressional, Mindanao Avenue, the northern part starting from the Districts of the Holy Spirit & Batasan Hills), Makati (west of South Super Highway), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
