Maynilad cleans 63k septic tanks in 2015; sets desludging service this April

West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) cleaned more than 63,000 septic tanks from around 111,000 households in 2015, allowing it to collect and treat over 98,000 cubic meters (cu.m.) of septage and 57 million cu.m. of sewage.

This April, Maynilad will offer septic tank cleaning services to its customers in select parts of Caloocan, Navotas, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, and Cavite at no extra cost.

Maynilad customers residing at Barangays 126-131, 170, 172-174 and 177 in Caloocan; San Roque and Tangos in Navotas; Bayanan and Poblacion in Muntinlupa; and San Isidro in Parañaque may avail of this cleaning service, which normally costs around ₱3,000 per truck.

Customers in the following areas of Cavite may also avail of this service: Barangays Bayanan, Ligas I-III and Mambog IV-V in Bacoor; Bayan Luma I-IX, Carsadang Bago I-II, Medicion I-A to I-D, Medicion II-A, II-C to II-F in Imus; Samala-Marquez in Kawit; Poblacion in Rosario; and San Rafael II in Noveleta.

Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez stressed that Maynilad’s septic tank cleaning services help to lessen pollution load into river systems. “We ask our customers to avail of this service, which comes at no extra cost. Their participation will contribute greatly in our effort to protect community health and the environment,” he said.
