Maynilad cleans 40K septic tanks in 1st half of 2016; offers desludging service this July

West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) cleaned more than 40,000 septic tanks from around 44,000 accounts during the first half of 2016, allowing it to collect and treat more than 86,000 cubic mewters of septage.

The company’s effort to promote the benefits of septic tank cleaning resulted to an 81% increase in the number of customers who availed of the service compared to the same period last year. Customers often refuse to avail because of inability to locate their septic tanks and perceived inconvenience, even if the service comes at no extra cost.

“We appeal to our customers to avail of Maynilad’s septic tank cleaning services. Doing so will prevent the clogging of their residential plumbing systems and minimize the discharge of pollutants into the environment,” Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez said.

This July, Maynilad is offering septic tank cleaning services to its residential customers in select parts of Caloocan, Malabon, Muntinlupa, Parañaque and Cavite.

These areas include Barangays 80 to 99 in Caloocan City; Brgys. Dampalit and Maysilo in Malabon; Brgys. Daniel Fajardo, Ilaya and Zapote in Las Piñas City; Brgys. Bayanan and Poblacion in Muntinlupa; and Brgys. Moonwalk, San Isidro and Sun Valley in Parañaque.

Maynilad customers in Brgys. Ligas I to III, Mabolo I to III, Molino I to IV and VI, Panapaan I to VII, and Talaba II to VI in Bacoor City; Alapan I-A to I-C, Bucandala I to V, Buhay na Tubig, Medicion I-A to I-D, Medicion II-A, II-C to II-F, Poblacion II-A and II-B, Poblacion III-A and III-B, Poblacion IV-C and IV-D, Tanzang Luma I to VI, Toclong I-A, I-B and II-B in Imus City; Brgy. Samala-Marquez in Kawit, Cavite; Brgy. San Rafael II in Noveleta, Cavite; and Brgy. Poblacion in Rosario, Cavite, may also avail of the scheduled septic tank cleaning.
