West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) won five Excellence and three Merit Awards at the Philippine Quill Awards 2015 held recently at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
Excellence Awards were given to Maynilad for its communication management programs “Sining Ipo”, which engages Dumagat communities at the Ipo watershed to create art pieces from driftwood; “Maynilad Simpleng Ginhawa Program”, which enables rapport-building between the company’s customers and its front liners; and “Maynilad Pipe Realignment Information Campaign,” an issues management initiative that informed the public of a major pipe-laying project.
Also given Excellence Awards were Maynilad’s Sustainability Report 2013–2014 and its “Grabe ang Maynilad” audio visual presentation, both under the Communications Tools category.
Meanwhile, the company was also given noteworthy distinction for the “Think Maynilad Innofest” (Employee Engagement category), “Top Achievement for Partners Awards” (Change Communication category), and the “Maynilad Annual Report 2013” (Publications category).

Fernandez.
The Philippine Quill is awarded by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). It is the foremost mark of excellence and professional acknowledgment within business communication. The Award recognizes the most effective and innovative communication initiatives in the country.
