West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) quickly extended assistance to some 500 families who lost their homes in the fire that razed Parola Compound in Tondo, Manila, last November 15, 2014.
Maynilad distributed 500 pieces of five-gallon water jugs and relief packs to the affected families, who were temporarily housed at the Delpan Sports Complex after surviving what has been claimed as the largest residential fire in Manila.
Maynilad President and CEO Ricky P. Vargas affirmed the company’s commitment to help the victims.  “Besides the giving of relief packs, our technical personnel will also help these families by repairing their water appurtenances and fixtures. Maynilad is here not just to meet our service obligations to customers but also to help them in their time of need.â€
Maynilad is owned and managed by DMCI-MPIC Water Company, Inc. (DMWCI), a joint venture between Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, DMCI Holdings, Inc. and Marubeni Corporation.
