West zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) quickly extended assistance to fire victims in Navotas and Tondo.
Maynilad distributed water jugs containing critically needed clean water to around 400 families living along A. Leongson St., San Roque, Navotas City, after they lost their homes to a fire last January 30, 2011. A Maynilad tanker was also stationed in the area to fill their jugs with potable water.
Esquillo’s home, as well as those of her two siblings, were among those destroyed by the recent fire in Navotas.
Maynilad gave assistance to victims in another relief activity for around 350 families who have been displaced by two separate fire incidents in Tondo, Manila. The fires hit the communities of Brgy. 158 and Brgy. 330 last February 3, 2011.
158 Chairman Boy Fernandez said.
Maynilad President Ricky Vargas affirmed the company’s commitment to help its customers. “We understand how vital clean water is, especially in times of trial. We are here not just to give them commendable service, but to help them in their time of need.â€
