The Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau-National Capital Region (DENR-EMB-NCR) gave recognition to Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) for its various environmental conservation programs. The photo shows DENR-EMB-NCR’s Regional Director Atty. The recognition was given to Maynilad for its environmental protection initiatives such as the Adopt-an-Estero program, particularly the adoption of a portion of Magdaong River in Muntinlupa City. DENR-EMB-NCR also hailed Maynilad’s continuous implementation of environment-centric educational initiatives, such as its Daloy Dunong program that teaches schoolchildren about the importance of water and environmental protection, and its Wastewater Educational Campaign that highlights the value of proper wastewater management. DENR-EMB-NCR also lauded Maynilad’s move towards enhanced water sustainability through its New Water program that aims to recycle used water for drinking.
