West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) will be providing free water supply to the new mega-quarantine facility that will rise in Bagong Nayon Pilipino, Parañaque City.
The facility, which can accommodate more than 500 mild and asymptomatic COVID-19 patients, will be the fifth quarantine facility to receive free water from Maynilad up to October 2020, besides the ones in the World Trade Center, Philippine International Convention Center, Cultural Center of the Philippines Sunken Parking, and Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Pasay City that have a combined 1,000-patient capacity.
“Having continuous water supply is essential for the daily operation of COVID-19 quarantine and testing centers. We are happy for the opportunity to help out in this way, as the public and private sectors join forces to fight the spread of this deadly virus,†said Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez.
Maynilad is also providing free water to the Department of Health’s mega-swabbing centers at Palacio de Maynila in Manila, and at SM MOA Arena in Pasay City. The company also recently built a P15-million RT-PCR Testing Center in partnership with De Los Santos Medical Center (DLSMC), and donated P1.7 million for the set-up of a quarantine center in UP Diliman, Quezon City.
