MAYNILAD INSTALLS DECORATIVE MANHOLE COVERS AT LUNETA PARK

West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) recently installed 22 decorative manhole covers around Luneta Park, Manila City, in line with its 15th anniversary celebration as a re-privatized company. Present to lead the unveiling ceremony were (from right) Manila City Mayor Dr. Honey Lacuna-Pangan, Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez, and Maynilad Chief Operating Officer Randolph T. Estrellado.

The commemorative manhole covers feature the monument of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, the white Nilad flower from which the name of the city was derived, and Maynilad’s 15th anniversary logo. Mayor Lacuna lauded Maynilad’s initiative as it provides an added attraction to the iconic Luneta Park. “I hope you would also consider making more decorative manhole covers in other tourist locations in the city. It is one way of reviving the tourism industry in Manila,” Lacuna said.

Estrellado noted, “‘Love for Country’ is a core value of Maynilad and we believe that infrastructure and tourism go hand-in-hand to further the development goals of our nation.”
