Maynilad’s La Mesa Treatment Plants received an average of 2,337 million liters per day (MLD) of raw water as of yesterday, April 17 (Tuesday). Although this is still short of the minimum raw water allocation requirement of 2,360 MLD, it was enough for Maynilad to increase stored water supply in its Bagbag Reservoir and implement system adjustments so that all customers may be served.

With this improved allocation, Maynilad customers who were affected by the daily service interruptions since April 12 owing to this issue will have uninterrupted water supply today, April 18. (Note: Some Maynilad customers in Las Piñas, Parañaque and Cavite will still have no water supply tonight, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. of April 20 due to a planned shutdown of the Pagcor Pumping Station, which is being done to allow for the transfer of valves along the water mainline that will be affected by a road-widening project for the Cavite-Laguna Expressway).

As long as Maynilad continues to receive its proper raw water allocation, it will no longer have to implement any service interruption moving forward, and it can maintain normal service levels for its customers throughout the summer season.
