Maynilad cleans 63k septic tanks in 2015; offers desludging service to customers

West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) cleaned more than 63,000 septic tanks from around 111,000 households in 2015, allowing it to collect and treat over 98,000 cubic meters (cu.m.) of septage and 57 million cu.m. of sewage.

This February, Maynilad will offer septic tank cleaning services to its customers in select parts of Caloocan, Navotas, Manila, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, and Cavite at no extra cost.

Maynilad customers residing at Barangays 63, 65, 67, 68, 74–78, 81, 83–93, 95, 108, 109, 111, 112, 117 and 122 in Tondo, and Barangays 726–728, 731, 733–741 in Malate, Manila, may avail of this cleaning service, which normally costs around ₱3,000 per truck.

Customers in the following areas may also avail of this service: Barangays San Roque, Daang Hari, Sipac Almacen and Tangos in Navotas; Barangays 171–174, 177, 187 and 188 in Caloocan;

Barangays CAA (BF International Central HOA, BF Rio Garden Homes and Southland Classic Subdivision), Manuyo Dos (BF Martinville), Pamplona Tres (Greenview Village), Pulang Lupa Uno (Casimiro Townhomes), Talon Tres (Aristocrat Subdivision), and Talon Singko (Delnor Subdivision) in Las Piñas; Barangays Bayanan and Poblacion in Muntinlupa; Barangays San Antonio and San Isidro in Parañaque.

Barangays Habay I, Ligas I–III, Mambog I–III, Molino VI (Soldiers Hills 4), Panapaan I (Floraville Subdivision), Panapaan IV (San Martin de Porres), San Nicolas I–III, and Talaba II in Bacoor, Cavite; Barangays Bucandala II–V, Buhay na Tubig (Shelter Town), and Brgy. Poblacion IV-B (Viña Village) in Imus, Cavite.

Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez stressed that Maynilad’s septic tank cleaning services help to lessen pollution load into river systems. “We ask our customers to avail of this service, which comes at no extra cost. Their participation will contribute greatly in our effort to protect community health and the environment,” he said.
