Maynilad Water Services, Inc.’s (Maynilad) Corporate Quality, Environment, Health and Security (CQESH) head Francisco Arellano spoke at the recent Water O&M Asia conference in Jakarta, Indonesia. The only Filipino water expert who joined the conference, Arellano presented Maynilad\’s initiatives in lessening carbon footprints, reducing non-revenue water, and watershed management. He was joined by water experts from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Water O&M Asia 2014 was designed for water professionals and utility operators to address critical issues affecting O&M efficiencies in water infrastructure and business. It also brought together industry leaders from utilities, public authorities and key policy makers to address the urgent need to improve and reform management practices amidst rising operations and management costs, to achieve financially sustainable operations.
