Maynilad North Cal office passes ISO audit

West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc.’s (Maynilad) North Caloocan Business Area (BA) office recently passed the stage 2 certification audit of its Integrated Management System (IMS) conducted by the TUV Rheinland Philippines, an international certifying body.

After passing the second stage of the audit, Maynilad’s North Caloocan BA office will receive international certifications in Quality Management (ISO 9001:2008), Environment Management (ISO 14001:2004) and Occupational Safety and Health Management (OHSAS 18001:2007). 

Maynilad President and CEO Ricky Vargas views this development as a testament to the hard work and commitment of their employees.  “Our employees worked very hard to prepare for this audit because it presented us with the opportunity to push our operational efficiency and commitment to our stakeholders and our Maynilad customers,” said Vargas.

Maynilad is owned and managed by DMCI-MPIC Water Company, Inc. (DMWCI), a joint venture between Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) and DMCI Holdings, Inc. (DMCIHI).  It is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base. 

Maynilad is a concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (all but portions of San Andres & Sta Ana), Quezon City (west of San Juan River, West Avenue, EDSA, Congressional, Mindanao Avenue, the northern part starting from the Districts of the Holy Spirit & Batasan Hills), Makati (west of South Super Hi-way), Caloocan, Pasay, Paranaque, Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila; Cavite City, and the towns of Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
